JK 2012: Day 4 - Relay

After two tough days of orienteering, the result of the relays were quite likely to be a war of attrition over the course of the weekend rather than on the day itself, and so it proved with easy victories as Interlopers retained the men's title and Edinburgh University took the women's honours.

JK 2012: Day 3

As expected Craig a'Barns on day 2 of the Jan Kjellström International Festival of Orienteering proved to be an even tougher test to competitors than day 1, with some long times across the board and only two men breaking the 90 minute barrier on the elite course.

JK 2012: Day 2

For the first time in almost 15 years, Dunalastair played host to orienteering with the first full day of competition at the JK as two of the world's best, Scott Fraser and Linnea Gustafsson, showed their prowess through the tough Scottish forest and moorland.

JK 2012: Day 1 - Sprint

JK 2012 in Scotland kicked off with a highly exciting sprint yesterday, with Livingston proving to be a fast and furious setting for orienteering races in which the leaders were separated by seconds, Sarah Rollins winning her third straight JK sprint title with Murray Strain pipping Scott Fraser by a second for a local win.

Edinburgh sweep BUCS 2012 again

This weekend Edinburgh emerged victorious once again at the British University Championships with some tight battles and tough orienteering, but many fine performances were overshadowed by a controversial protest and disqualification in the relay.

Nopesport Urban League 2011

NGOC is again offering the orienteering board game "Forest Challenge" for sale. All profits will be donated to the Woodland Trust. Last year profits were used to help flood victims in Pakistan.

London City Race 2011

Over 1100 competitors from across the UK and Europe descended on London and the Barbican this weekend for the fourth running on the London City Race, the UK's largest urban orienteering race.

British Orienteering Championships 2011

Doug Tullie and Tessa Hill were crowned the King and Queen of the Forest last weekend as Wharncliffe Woods, near Sheffield, hosted over 1000 competitors at the British Orienteering Championships.

JK 2011: Northern Ireland - Relay

Interlopers with Ant Squire, Oleg Chepelin and Murray Strain emerged victorious in an exciting tussle for the JK Trophy today back at Tyrella, while Becky Hoare, Julia Blomquist and Sarah Rollins of the British Army similarly stormed clear on the final leg.

JK 2011: Northern Ireland - Day 2

Hector Haines won an exciting JK Classic at Sieve Croob and with it the overall title as he destroyed the field with a two minute victory over Matt Crane. In the women's race Claire Ward was victorious after a poor middle distance, while Tessa Hill took the overall JK title with a strong second place on the day.

JK 2011: Northern Ireland - Day 1

The dunes of Tyrella provided the venue for another exciting day of racing for day two of the JK yesterday, and in the elite classes provided another clear win for Matt Crane, while Sarah Rollins won once again by a narrow margin of three seconds from Hollie Orr.

JK 2011: Northern Ireland - Sprint

The 2011 JK started in exciting fashion today with a sprint at Stranmills College in Belfast, with Sarah Rollins and Pippa Archer sharing the spoils with joint 1st place, while in the men's race Matt Crane was a convincing winner ahead of Murray Strain and John Rocke.

The Epic Tri

Tonight Bruce Duncan and Ant Emmet will set off on a triathlon of epic proportions, taking in three of the biggest endurance challenges in the UK. They'll be running the Bob Graham round, cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End on a tandem, then paddling the 125 mile Devizes to Westminster kayak race, all in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The Vet classes were won by Christine Robinson (SLOW) and Kenny Leitch (SO).
