Compass Sport Cup - SYO & FVO retain titles

UK Cup Round 2 & WRE: The Trossachs

The Trossachs, arguably one of Britain's toughest orienteering terrains, hosted Sunday's World Ranking Event where it was again Scott Fraser victorious in the Men's Elite, this time alongside Siri Ulvestad of NTNUI in Norway who won Women's Elite, both by impressive margins.

UK Cup Round 1: Touch Estate

When the going gets tough in Touch, the tough get going. Scott Fraser and Sarah Rollins won the middle distance races at Touch on Saturday, after strong showings through the latter stages of the course. The event proved to be a tough and technical season opener for the top class field, including most of the British squad as well as a number of top overseas runners.

British Night Championships on TV next weekend

Orienteering goes primetime as the British Night Championships will be screened on BBC2 in Scotland on Sunday 4 April at 7pm.

Squad Support Grants

Top level orienteering costs a lot of money and time. There is a fund available that can help elite level orienteers who are just outside the British Squad. It provides grants for training and racing plans over the forthcoming season.

Help Orienteer Ben Roberts Become Sony Ericsson Official Photographer

Longtime Nopesport member and old school orienteering legend Ben Roberts is currently in the running to become the "Sony Ericcson Official Photographer 2009". It would be great to get the orienteering community behind him. If he wins, Ben has pledged to offer his photographic services for free to British Orienteering next year.

Sheffield Chase concludes 2008 Urban League

Last weekend Sheffield University hosted the final Nopesport Urban League race of the year, with their chasing sprint offering yet another fantastic urban orienteering experience with the added bonus of head to head racing.
