Harvester Relay 2012

British Army Orienteering Club are holding the Harvester Relay on Sunday 1 July 2012 at Bordon Heaths in Hampshire. The event is a day/night relay competition for teams of seven (A course) or five (B course) competitors.

Shropshire Town and Country Weekend

Wrekin Orienteers and Harlequins have a great springtime weekend lined May 26th & 27th. Brown Clee provides the challenge on Sunday and a brand new urban area, Bridgnorth on the Saturday.

Poole Town Race

On Saturday 26th May 2012 the first Poole Town Race will take place. With winning times around 30 mins, and on brand new mapping, you can explore the heritage of old Poole… at speed.

British Long & Relay Champs - entry deadline

This weekend is your last opportunity to enter the British Long Distance and Relay Championships, taking place on 5 & 6 May, while entries for the Kendal Urban Race on 7 May (part of the Nopesport Urban League) close on 26 April.

JK 2012: Scotland

This Easter weekend almost 2,400 competitors from across the UK and Europe will descend on Scotland, Livingston and Perthshire to be more precise, for the Jan Kjellström International Festival of Orienteering 2012. For the first time this season almost all of the UK's top orienteers will be in attendance, so you can expect a tight competition across the board.

BUCS 2012

This weekend sees the British Universities Championship hosted in the Lake District by Cambridge University, and as well as strong teams from the main contenders Edinburgh and Sheffield, there is a good entry from a number of other smaller university teams from across the country.

Orienteering at Westfield Stratford City

Fancy taking part in a novel and unique race specially for 2012? Spread over 4 floors, Westfield Shopping Centre is the perfect location to test your navigational skills and attention to detail. Located overlooking the Olympic site the event makes a great day out for all the family.

March in the Marches

Entry deadlines are swiftly approaching for the March in the Marches weekend in March, including Nopesport Urban League race 3 in Great Malvern on the 10th, followed by the Midland Championships nearby on the 11th.

UK Cup 2012

The UK Cup begins this weekend, with the British Night Championships, and once again the competition this year extends to a mass start final in October via sprint, middle, long, ultra-long and urban races, but will it actually attract the elites outwith the major races?

St Andrews sprint & urban weekend

This weekend is your last opportunity to get entries in for the Scottish Sprint Championships, and round 2 of the Nopesport Urban League, taking place in St Andrews on the 3rd & 4th March.

Highlander Mountain Marathon 2012

We are delighted to announce that the venue for this year's Highlander, 14/15 April, is Kinlochewe. The village lies at the head (or south end) of Loch Maree, and is one of the main access points into Torridon.

Nopesport Urban League 2012

The Nopesport Urban League 2012 fixtures have been announced, and we'll be returning to many firm urban orienteering favourites as well as a handful of potential new classics, as 14 races will offer the opportunity to find the best urban orienteers in the UK.

Edinburgh University Big Weekend 2012

Edinburgh University would like to invite you to their annual weekend of high class racing in the historic city, taking place on 21/22 January. The 2012 edition of the Big Weekend will include a city race on the Saturday, Ceilidh in the evening and Sosol on Arthur's Seat on Sunday.

Return of the Dragon's Back Race

This time next year competitors will be nearing the end of the legendary Dragon's Back Race, first and last held in 1992, traversing Wales from North to South along the "Dragon's Back". A 220 mile test of endurance and navigation is waiting for all those willing to take on one of the toughest mountain races in the world.

OMM France 2011 (Massif Jurassien)

Previously known as the Alpine KIMM or Euro KIMM, this event now forms part of the OMM Event Series. This year the event takes place in the Jura Mountains on the French/Swiss border on 3rd/4th September.

CUOC Cambridge City Race 2011

Entries for the second Cambridge City Race are now open, with access to many Cambridge Colleges already secured, it promises to be an exciting urban event.

With the UK relay league close, the largest entry field for 10 years, live GPS tracking, results and updates, the Harvester Relay promises to be possibly the most exciting event to hit Britain since the world slicing bread championships.

The Harverster Relay Weekend is now just under 3 weeks away. The current level of entries suggests that there will be plenty of competitive racing with the largest field for 10 years.

Cliffhanger Ultrasprint returns to Sheffield

July 3rd sees the running of the Ultrasprint at the Cliffhanger outdoor festival in Sheffield for the 5th time. South Yorkshire Outdoors will construct a specially designed labyrinth for the race. Ultimate OOcup test

The OOcup, one of Europe's most enjoyable and technical multiday orienteering events, has decided to introduce some new Ultimate classes, which will involve running on a map with no paths. British MBO Sprint and Middle Champs Go Bang

The British Mountain Bike Orienteering Sprint Championships on Sunday, this coming weekend, promises to be the most intensive orienteering experience on a bike ever in the UK, even toping that at MOD Stafford earlier this year.

Live GPS Tracking comes to Britain

British Middle & Sprint championships this weekend
