British Internationals Scott Fraser and Claire Ward comfortably won at the Edinburgh City Race as the Big Weekend once again played host to the opening round of the Nopesport and Scottish Urban Orienteering Leagues.
The Scottish Orienteering Association is seeking to appoint a highly motivated person as a Regional Development Officer who is able to work both independently and in collaboration with clubs in the Grampian region.

A couple of weeks ago the Penrith Urban Race rounded off the 2011 Nopesport Urban Orienteering League, which started in Edinburgh and visited Glasgow, Filey, Nottingham, Lossiemouth, Guildford, Sheffield, Lincoln, Cambridge, Skipton, Chester en-route to deciding the overall standings in the Penrith Finale.
NGOC is again offering the orienteering board game "Forest Challenge" for sale. All profits will be donated to the Woodland Trust. Last year profits were used to help flood victims in Pakistan.
