...about WOC2004!

WOC 2004 is going to be held around the town of Vsters, 100km west of the Swedish capital Stockholm.

Until 2003 WOC was a biannual event, alternating with the World Cup. Now it is part of the World Cup and held every year.

The first race is on Sunday Long qualification - with the first final Sprint distance next Wednesday.

Sweden originally applied to host WOC in 2005 (Japan) but were turned down, only when an organiser was required for 2004 did they get a chance

WOC website, featuring live coverage, and chat forums www.woc2004.com.

British Team can be found here.

WOC organisers were hoping for live TV coverage on Swedish TV but this is not possible, so they are concentrating their efforts on first class internet broadcasting. WOC will feature on Swedish TV, with a 30 minute summary in the evening after each final.

But if you want to get closer to the action Ryanair still have flights to Vsters available for next week for around 50 return!

And you can pass on your best wishes to the team by emailing them: gbteam@britishorienteering.org.uk
