Three runners have been disqualified. Martins Sirmais, Troy de Haas and our own Matt Speake. The silver-lining to this is that Martins beat Graham, so GG has moved up to 9th place. More on this when we find it out.

Britain took its first top 10 finish of the championships through Graham Gristwood, while the Swede Emil Wingstedt sucessfully defended his title.

GG started incredibly and led at the spectator control with 1km to go, however he lost time in the final controls, and came in 2nd. He finished in 10th place which marks a significant step up for the youngster from Woking.

David Brickhill-Jones improved on his starting position to finish in 19th place, while mistakes cost Matt Speake as he finished in 42nd.

It was an incredibly tight finish for the medals with just 1.7 seconds separating gold and bronze. It was the same Gold and Silver as last year, Emil ahead of Daniel Hubmann (SUI) with local boy Claus Bloch taking bronze.

More later on the Womens race and from our team at WOC.
