To get into most Scandinavian teams you generally have to be atleast 30 years old. The Nordic B Meeting gives the younger stars, and Jonas Pilblad, a great chance for international experience in world class competitions, ensuring there isn't a 10 year drought from JWOC to WOC.

This year the Nordic Meeting was held in Karstald, Värmland, Sweden. The home of orienteering legend, Steve Hale. There were teams from all the nordic nations, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark, although mostly from Sweden.

The althetes were faced with a gruelling schedule. Long on Thurday, Middle Friday, Sprint Saturday, climaxing on Sunday with another Long race. Points are awarded for each race, 50, 45, 41, 38, 36, 35, 34... with a combined points competition for all 4 races.
