wc :: Sprint Final Results

What is seen to be the spectator highlight of the weekend, the sprint final in Battersea Park, has been concluded. GB's women have pulled out some good results, the pick of them from Heather Monro finishing in 6th & Sarah Rollins in 8th. The other GB womens results were all together finishing in 18th, 19th, 20th, & 21st!! The victory went to Norway's Anne Margrethe Hausken, who finished 2nd overall last year in PWT behind Simone Niggli-Luder, but finished a massive 38secs clear of the Swiss athlete & Jenny Johansson who were joint 2nd.

The new generation shone in the mens as Switzerland's Daniel Hubmann took 1st with David Brickhill-Jones 2nd carrying on good form from his PWT races. Norways sprint specialist ystein Kvaal sterb took 3rd. Young Graham Gristwood was GB's only hope and he did not disappoint finishing in 14th place, another superb run in his first World Cup race.

There was a small consolation for Nick Barrable as he won the B final. Swedens Lina Bckstrm won the womens B final.
