Jani Lakanen of Finland has taken the long distance victory today winning by a almost a minute. He completed the 18km course in 92:07 with his team mate Mats Haldin in joint 2nd with Russias Andrei Khramov. Mats had been leading at the 1st & 2nd Radio with Khramov holding 2nd position but an impressive finish pulled Jani up into 1st at the last radio which he held til the line.

Jon Duncan had GB's best result finishing in 12th place while Matt Crane put in another good performance finishing in 16th.

The womens race was won by an even bigger margin. Simone Niggli-Luder, taking yesterdays disappiontment out on the 12.6km course, got back to winning ways with a margin of almost 3mins. Team mate Vroni König Salmi took 2nd with swedens Emma Engstrand taking 3rd place.

Heather Monro was again GB's best performance finishing in 9th place but ws over 6mins of Simones time.
