fcc :: qualifiers for finals

With only one race remaining, the re-arranged JOK Chasing Sprint, before the finals in Scotland, the FCC series is nearing its conclusion. Competition has been extremely close this year but already we have some victors for the series, congratulations to Anne Edwards of TVOC and Rhodri Buffett of SWOC who have both clinched the W & M18 titles respectively. Both have ammassed an unassailable meximum of 180 points with Anne of course having won all 6 races this year, while Rhodri has won 4 of the 5 races he's competed in.

In the W20 standings there is a three way tie for first place, with Rose Hodkinson, Tessa Hill and Rebecca Roberts all with 166 points. Ruth Holmeslies in 4th on 157 points, 4 ahead of Lizzie Adams. Behind Anne in the W18 standings are SARUM's Stefanie Blomquist and AIRE's Victoria Stevens tied on 161 points.

Behind Rhodri in the M18 standings there is also a tie for second. John Rocke of LEI and David Schorah of DEE with 166 points, just 1 point ahead of Douglas Tullie of RR.

In the M20 standings the arrival of the Edinburgh contingent at the past 3 events has shaken things up slightly. Duncan Coombs moves into 2nd ahead of Tom Bray and Ben Stevens, 7 points behind Joe Mercer of Oxford who has 166 points. James Bennett has moved into 5th following his strong performances at the JK while Oleg Chepelin is in 15th place after taking 120 points at the weekend. Scott Fraser currently lies in 19th place on 110 points following his return to the UK. Both of whom would expect wild card entries to the FCC final should they not reach it through points but may suffer from early start times.

Below are the points tables prior to the JOK Chasing Sprint with those in bold having qualified for the Finals. Those who obtain points this weekend which would see them move into the top 15 of their class would also be invited to the final, but not at the expense of anyone who has already qualified.
